I am an assistant professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Boulder, Leeds School of Business. My research examines innovation in high-tech industries, with a focus on identifying how members of technical occupations create knowledge spillovers that accelerate the development of emerging technologies. I’m especially interested in the craft-based occupational communities that flourish at the frontiers of science and technology.
My research is supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale School of Management and hold a Ph.D. in Technology Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
